You may find it more convenient to have your emails in one place.
To run your domain email through Gmail you need to apply the following settings:
1. Open up Gmail and click the settings gear wheel ‘top right’
2. Choose ‘Accounts and Imports’ from the top tab
3. Click ‘Add a POP3 mail account that you own’ from the ‘Check email from other accounts (using POP3):’ option (4rd down)
4. Enter your domain Email Address in the pop up window e.g enquiries@yourdomain.co.uk
and click ‘next step’ and enter the following settings:
Username: enquiries@yourdomain.co.uk
Password: ********
pop server: pop3@yourdomain.co.uk Port 110
you can skip the checkboxes. Click ‘Add Account’, click yes or no to save password – your choice
The first checkbox should be ticked (yes I want to be able to send mail as…) > Next Step > Enter the name you wish to be displayed eg. ‘Your company’, untick the alias box > Next Step and enter the following settings:
SMTP Server: smtp.yourdomain.co.uk Port 587
Username: enquiries@yourdomain.co.uk
Password: ********
Secured connection using TLS > Add account
5. Gmail will then send you a verification email to your domain account with a code, copy this and paste into the verify box
Your gmail will now import your domain emails.
You will also see when you now click ‘Compose’ within Gmail, you have the option to send your mail via your default gmail address or your domain email address via a dropdown.
